Adult Day Service Volunteer
The adult day program provides physical, cognitive, creative and social activities in a safe and social atmosphere for persons aged 55+ who may be living with cognitive or physical barriers, frail conditions or social isolation
When: The Adult Day Program runs Monday – Friday from 9am – 3:30pm. Volunteers are booked in based on their role preference and availability.
Volunteer Roles:

Activity Assistant: Work independently with a client, or work with the staff in a group setting. Assist clients with activities such as reading, puzzles and crafts. Assist the staff leader with facilitating group activities and games such as bowling or parachute.

Entertainer or Activities Leader: Volunteers with special skills or talents can lead our participants through activities such as low-impact exercise class, music or crafts, with support from program staff.

Drivers: Drivers provide transportation to program participants, picking them up at their homes and bringing them to Grace Centre and ensuring safe return at the end of the program day.
