​​​Home Help Provider – Part-time
($20.60 - $21.50 an hour)

Southern Frontenac Community Services (SFCSC) is a rural based organization focused on working with others to help seniors age well in their own community and to facilitate connections and provide families, including seniors, with services to meet their basic needs.
This is a part-time position, with a minimum of 28 hours biweekly, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Duties:

Work closely with the In-Home Services Coordinator, to perform household management tasks for seniors and adults living with disabilities enabling them to remain in their homes longer.

Work with client or their representative to ensure understanding of the tasks they are looking to you to provide or support. These may include (but not limited to): cleaning any room of a home, washing floors, windows, dishes, bathrooms, laundry, meal preparation, or errands (e.g. retrieving mail or grocery items).

Complete requested tasks in a thorough and efficient manner, being respectful of the client and the client’s property and sensitive to their level of comfort with you in the home.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience providing house cleaning or household management services to others.
-
Knowledge of needs of seniors in rural environment.
-
Must have own transportation.
-
Commitment to comply with SFCSC policies and procedures.
-
Flexible availability to provide services, as scheduled, and attend training or meetings as requested.
-
Personal Support Worker certification an asset.

Work closely with the Seniors Programs Manager, to assist clients with their ADL’s and IADL’S and/or provide recreational care for seniors and adults living with disabilities enabling them to remain in their homes longer.

Work with client or their representative to ensure an understanding of the responsibilities/tasks they are looking to you to provide or support while in the home.

Complete requested tasks in a thorough and efficient manner, being respectful of the client and the client’s property and sensitive to their level of comfort with you in the home.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Personal Support Worker Diploma or Recreation and Leisure diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Experience providing personal care and household management services to others.
-
Two positive references.

Must have own transportation.

Foot Care Service Provider
(Contract - $25/hour)
​
Southern Frontenac Community Services (SFCSC) is a rural based organization focused on working with others to help seniors age well in their own community and to facilitate connections and provide families, including seniors, with services to meet their basic needs.
​
The Foot Care Provider is a contracted service worker engaged by SFCSC to provide basic foot care services to seniors living in South Frontenac at clinics held by SFCSC on a monthly basis. The Foot Care Provider will provide a basic assessment, treatment and documentation with each appointment.
This is a contract position. Work location is Sydenham, ON.

Primary Duties:

Attend clinics at SFCSC location(s) on the second and fourth Tuesday each month from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, dressed appropriately
-
Provide foot care services to clients following KFL&A Public Health and IPAC Practice Recommendations
-
Adhere and support sanitization practices between clients
-
Perform assessment and determine treatment plan for clients
-
Provide basic foot care including toenail cutting, callous reduction and application of lotion to each client
-
Document details of treatment provided, concerns and other relevant information in client file

Manager
(Starting Rate of Pay: $33.90-$41.21/hr)
Southern Frontenac Community Services is a rural based charitable organization focused on working with others in the provision of health and social services that meet the needs of our community.
​
Working closely with the Executive Director in a busy and often changing environment, the Manager is responsible to provide leadership to empower program leaders in pursuit of operational goals in alignment with the mission and strategic plans of the organization.
​
The Manager will provide knowledge and support to the financial management of the organization. Providing direction to the staff financial roles and hands-on coverage for payroll and accounting functions during vacation or absences.
This is a full-time position (35 hours weekly) ongoing position, based in Sydenham, ON.
Primary Duties:

Supervise staff, manage performance and support problem-solving.

Adapt strategic visions to actionable and attainable projects.

Provide oversight of SFCSC’s financial health monitoring and payroll administration functions.

Problem solve and/or optimize business processes

Participate in meetings with internal and external partners to grow knowledge of the Community Services Sector and role within healthcare.

Requirements:

Post-secondary diploma or degree in business or accounting studies
-
Minimum two (2) years relevant hands-on experience preferably in a non-profit or government environment with a strong working knowledge or budgetary accounting and reporting processes.

Demonstrated successful leadership skills and supervisor experience.
-
Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a leadership team.
-
Familiarity with senior-focused community services or health care sector is an asset
-
High computer literacy in the Microsoft Office Suite and Financial software is required including advanced excel skills such as developing templates and using formulas. Will be tested.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem solving, financial and both written and verbal communication skills.
-
Proven success with taking initiative, adapting to a changing environment and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
